Interface Overview
Learn about Interface Overview in this comprehensive lesson.
Once you're logged in, the interface has a few key areas:
- Left sidebar — new chat, chat history, Projects, and settings
- Main chat window — where you type prompts and see Claude's replies
- Message box — type your question here; you can attach files too
- Model selector — usually near the message box, lets you pick Haiku, Sonnet, or Opus
- Artifacts panel — opens on the right when Claude creates a document, code, or app for you
Everything is designed to feel like a simple chat app, so you won't need training to get started.
